Bereavement & Grief Support in Georgetown, TX
What Is Bereavement Care?
Bereavement care is professional grief support provided to individuals and families after the death of a loved one. Unlike informal condolences from friends or family, bereavement care is structured, evidence based, and delivered by trained counselors who understand the complex emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions of loss.
At Solace Hospice, bereavement care includes one-on-one counseling, support groups, phone check-ins, memorial events, and educational resources. Importantly, this service is a mandated part of the Medicare Hospice Benefit and the VA Hospice Benefit. That means if your loved one received hospice care from Solace Hospice, your grief support comes at no out-of-pocket cost to you for a full 13 months following their death.
For Georgetown community members whose loved ones were not on hospice with us, we offer limited bereavement services on a referral basis or for a nominal fee. Call us to learn more.
